Remember, your second draft of your final paper is due to me by the start of class tomorrow.
Tomorrow, April 17, we'll be going over what to do when you have writer's block and some basic proofreading strategies to build off our previous lesson from February 8.
Thursday's class, April 19, is canceled. Instead you will be meeting me over Thursday and Friday to go over the development of your paper. All meetings will be held in Jazzman's on the first floor of the library.
Next Tuesday, April 24, we will discuss basic proofreading strategies you used while composing your paper. Prepare for class by bringing your drafts with you to help you recall what you changed and why.
For Thursday, April 26, your homework is to compile a list of all the types of comments I have given to you on your writing for this semester. I am not interested in content-specific questions or suggestions, rather I want you to list how many times I have told you certain things, and what range of composition suggestions you have gotten over your time in this class. This should help you begin to note your own weaknesses as a writer. Come to class with this list either printed or on a computer. Also, email it to me for a participation grade.
May 1 is the last day of class. Your final draft (#3) is due to me by the start of class. On this day, we'll do evaluations and summarize what we have learned throughout the semester. After this, you do not have any responsibilities as I am not giving a final. I will contact you personally with your grade within a week of the final class.
